Somethin's Brewin' is a first-person roguelite shoot-em-up with procedurally generated levels and voxel art. I started working on this in my spare time when I was learning to use UE4.

Besides several ways of approaching procedural level generation, I also learned a lot about the design and implementation of hostile AI and the sense of 'fairness towards the player' that ties into that.

I published the game in a very early stage on itch.io so I could generate as much player feedback as possible. This eventually led to the game being played by several youtubers, making the game reach the top of the roguelike charts on itch.io for a while.

I also managed a Twitter account for the game to post updates about the development of the game.

The game was eventually discontinued because my spare time was being eaten by more pressing matters.
