NINJA SIMULATOR (VR)

Ninja Simulator is a proof-of-concept-game made in approximately 16 hours during an educational game jam organized by Fontys Hogescholen Eindhoven. It was developed using Unity 3D, Maya, HTC-Vive and the Manus VR-gloves.

The core mechanic works as follows: Clenching your index and middle finger at the same time will spawn a throwable object in your hand. When you stretch those fingers again, the throw force & direction will be calculated and applied to the throwable.

During our playtests it became evident that the fun of this concept lies in finding the right approach to throwing where you aim. Much like real-life card throwing, a certain degree of skill is required and obtained through practice.

  • Set up version control with SourceTree + GitHub

  • Scripts for throwable objects, actually throwing those objects (using physics),  interactables (gong, weapon rack etc.) & random target activation (as seen in the dojo).

  • Custom BGM

  • Edit & add free sound effects to interactables.
